Operating pressure angle - Gear Nomenclature
The pressure angle on the intermeshing pitch circle is called the operating pressure angle (alternately known as the working pressure angle).
When the gear tooth profile is shifted, this operating pressure angle also changes along with the change in intermeshing pitch circle.
